Are you involved in an Italian youth organisation?

Your organisation could soon become a member of GIA!

GIA is changing the way we operate to bring together Italian youth organisations from around the country. Organisations that want to be involved in GIA will get:

  1. A page in each month’s edition of the GIA email newsletter;
  2. Are included in the list of ‘member organisations’ on our website with a link to the member organisation’s website;
  3. Involvement in national GIA events; and
  4. One (1) voting delegate to GIA.

It's all part of GIA's "Constitutional Reform." We're replacing people as members with organisations as member. Organisations appoint delegates to the GIA Council and by doing this organisations from around the country can share ideas and the work of their organisation with one another.

There are three key parts to this reform that we want your feedback on:

  1. The new constitution
  2. A booklet on how this change will benefit the community
  3. Our timeline for the change

The Committee put our new structure out for consultation in August 2010 and is receiving feedback. If you would like to comment on the new structure proposed, have any ideas or suggestions on how to make it better, please email your thoughts to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it By 27 September 2010.

An SGM will then be held in late October 2010 to introduce these changes. They will take effect after the SGM.
